Netflix and Microsoft announced on Monday that coming this Fall you will be able to stream any movie or television show on the Netflix “Watch It Now” network over the internet to your Xbox 360. Seeing that I am a Netflix subscriber and I own an Xbox 360, I am elated about this news. I will be able to turn on my Xbox 360 and stream a movie or television show straight to my TV.
Imperfections:
-The “Watch It Now” section of Netflix boasts 10,000 things to watch, but many of them are B movies or worse. That being said, there are a number of decent films and a solid collection of TV series to keep me busy and more stuff is added regularly.
-Also, it only streams in standard definition. I can only assume this is temporary. They haven’t announced any change to HD yet, but it is obvious that is where they want to be.
To get access to this for free (or at least for no additional cost for me) is in my price plan.
